About Our English As A Second Language Courses

Practical, low-barrier ESL programming improves literacy rates and allows English learners to communicate with teachers, doctors, public service workers, and employers. LAHC partners as a host site with Dearborn Public School’s Adult Education services. At LAHC Headquarters, classes are offered to beginning, intermediate, and advanced learners throughout the academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

ESL students must be 20 years or older as of September 1 and must not be currently enrolled in a high school. ESL students younger than 20 years are eligible if they have a GED or a high school diploma.
