Pathways

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Pathways empowers youth with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and related conditions on their journey to independence as a young adult. An emphasis is placed in assisting youth to develop life skills necessary for community integration and lifelong success based on their needs. Pathways is offered in a group setting throughout southeast Michigan. Throughout the program youth will develop social & communication skills to promote vocational readiness, leisure enrichment and overall health. Our structured curriculum aims to increase self-efficacy, individual choice, self-management and social inclusion. Participation in each series supports higher quality of life outcomes for the individual by meeting them on their own path in life.

This six-week series provides an evidence-based approach that will enable participants to communicate, relate to, and connect with others more effectively. They will develop these skills throughout structured group activities that promote social engagement.
