As many children are diagnosed with illnesses and sadly have to endure spending the holidays in the confines of a hospital room, the LAHC realizes the importance of giving these children the hope of a happy holiday.  Our volunteers organize bake sales, sporting events and various activities to generate donations so the LAHC can purchase gifts for hospitalized children and share with them a celebration of the holiday season.  With the effort to instill hope in the hearts of these sweet youth, the LAHC dedicates resources to ensure they are laughing and enjoying the time with people who want to see them smile.  Though we may not be able to ease their physical pain, it is an opportunity to ease the emotional strain of dealing with an illness and not being in the comfort of their own home.
