Community Health Educator
Full-Time: $30,000 per year + benefits

Promoting healthy lifestyles and educating youth and families about health issues, primarily nutrition and wellness. The Health Educator position serves to empower children and families using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities. Specific strategies include providing evidence-based education pertaining to kitchen basics, food safety and recipe execution. Using existing approved teaching materials and curricula, the health educator is responsible for shopping, planning and implementing programming, including cooking demonstrations, physical activity instruction, in educational and community settings.

Prevention Specialist
Full-Time: $30,000 + Benefits

LAHC’s Prevention department has an immediate opening for a Prevention Specialist. Our prevention program utilizes evidence-based strategies designed to keep individuals, families and communities healthy and free from problems related to alcohol and/or other drug use, gambling prevention, mental health disorders, parent/child conflict, abuse and/or neglect.
