Community Health Educator
Full-Time: $30,000 per year + benefits

The Health Educator position serves to empower children and families using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities. Specific strategies include promoting healthy lifestyles and educating youth and families about kitchen basics, food safety and recipe execution. Using existing approved teaching materials and curricula, the health educator is responsible for shopping, planning and implementing programming, including cooking demonstrations, in educational and community settings.

Promoting healthy lifestyles and educating youth and families about health issues, primarily nutrition and wellness. The Health Educator position serves to empower children and families using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities. Specific strategies include providing evidence-based education pertaining to kitchen basics, food safety and recipe execution. Using existing approved teaching materials and curricula, the health educator is responsible for shopping, planning and implementing programming, including cooking demonstrations, physical activity instruction, in educational and community settings.
